Sentence fragments;
A sentence fragment is a piece of a sentence. It is not a complete sentence.
e.g. We will go to the beach because it is a nice day. PERFECT COMPLEX SENTENCE
We will go to the beach. Because it is a nice day. sentence fragment
SOLUTIONS:
We will go to the beach because it is a nice day. COMPLEX
We will go to the beach. It is a nice day. SIMPLE
It is a nice day, so we will go to the beach. COMPOUND
In my marking notes, I will write ‘frag’ for a sentence fragment.

They both sound good. The meaning is very simlar. The ‘ing’ sounds a little more active or lively.
