This weekend is a long weekend. Monday is Victoria Day.
Every Canadian is obligated by law to visit Victoria on Monday. Reserve a spot on the ferry because they will be very busy.
A few people have asked me about rewriting quizzes. I offer a replacement quiz for anyone who would like to do that.
Next week, you will have an opportunity to replace one of the quizzes you wrote. This is optional. Email me by tomorrow at 1PM which quiz you would like to replace.
Make sure you use a proper Subject line:
Name, Class, Time, Replacement quiz.
I will not accept late emails.
By the end today, we will have done six quizzes:

Quiz#2b- compound ;TRANS. 1.6/3
Quiz#3- adverb clauses 1/3 .5/3
Quiz#4- noun clauses 3/3

You can replace one of those quizzes. You choose which one.

The replacement quiz will be a new quiz. The replacement quiz will be a mix of all sentence styles. You will do the replacement quiz during regular class time, as usual.

Later in the term, we will do a replacement test as well. We haven’t done any tests yet. We will do out first test next week. Tests will be writing paragraphs.

Dutch treat- everybody pays for their own food. split the bill

Dutch – stereotype- they are very cheap, don’t like to spend money, tight-fisted
