Writing Process - the step-by-step

Prewriting - before we write any sentences, planning, coming up with ideas, organizing
1. Analyse the question. Read the question five times, every word. Make sure you understand what is being asked of you. (1-2m)
2. Generate ideas - good ideas, interesting
Ideas flow. Don't panic! Take a few minutes. Get some ideas going. There are lots of ideas.
Write it down! Vocabulary and synonyms starts to flow. Sleeping words will wake up. (3-5m)
3.Organize our ideas.
TIME- chronology 
- Narrative -tell a story
- Process -teach how to do something
SPACE
- Descriptive -physical - top to bottom, side to side
IMPORTANCE
- Persuasive - give your opinion, convince, argument, persuade
help them to understand your opinion
(2-3m)
Prewriting - under 10m

Writing - write sentences
4. Rough draft (copy) 6-8 sentences
Topic sentence
Supporting sentences
Concluding sentence
(20-30m)
5. Proofread - check for errors- punc, cap, vf, vt, sp, cs, ro, frag
Revise - rewrite or fix, doesn't have to look nice, as long as it's legible, messy is ok
6. Good copy. usually there is no time
