Incorporating quoted material into our sentences

Practice. Write a sentence. Incorporate a quoted word or two into your sentence.

You can change a word by using [   ]  square brackets. You can change the word form but not the meaning. It makes the grammar fit.

The nun's smile was "chilling".

"chill[ed]"
The kids felt "chill[ed]" by the nun's smile.

The kids felt chilled by the nun's smile.
IS THIS OK? NO
