EF56 First Nations quiz possible answers

1. Who are First Nations, Inuit and Metis?
    They are the Aboriginal peoples of North America. The First Nations live in the south of Canada. The Inuit live in the north of Canada, above the Arctic Circle. The Métis  are a mix between European and First Nations.

2. According to the Haida creation story, how           did people come to be?
The Haida have a creation story/myth about where humans came from. After Raven created the land, he was lonely. Therefore, Raven made two women out of clam shells. Then the two women were not happy, so Raven changed one of them to a man using limpet shells.


3. According to scientists, how long have Aboriginal Peoples been in North America? Where did they come from?

The Aboriginal people have lived in Canada for about 12000-20000 years. They originally came from Africa Asia and crossed over the ice bridge over the Bering Strait.
