Short – just 300+ words, don’t write a book

A nightmare!

The first few essays that you write will be hard and confusing.

After you write five or six essays, it will start to get much easier.

This is our first essay.

Try to get to 300 words.

Swimming analogy: You have to jump into the pool sometimes. You can’t stand on the deck forever.

Take it easy. Don’t panic. Nobody is going to die. We’re just trying something new, something challenging.

When you children are learning to write a bicycle, what would you say to them?

“Try your best” “Don’t worry.” “Keep trying.” “If you fall, fall in the grass.” “You can try again.” “Try to relax.” “You learn from your mistakes.” “Just try.” “Step by step, you will get there.”
