In order to eat Asian foods properly, you must be able to eat with chopsticks. Everyone is different. It’s not as hard as it looks. The two chopsticks serve two different jobs- one stays still in your hand; the other moves with your fingers. The blunt end of the immobile chopstick sits in the crook of your thumb, and the other end rests on the side of your ring finger. Your thumb keeps it tight in place. The blunt end of movable chopstick sits on side of the tip of your thumb. This part of your thumb acts as a fulcrum.  The sides of your pointer and index fingers rest a couple of centimeters up the stick toward the pointy end. You move the stick by moving these two fingers. Make sure the tips of the chopsticks are even with each other. Practice picking up beans. You’ll get it in time.
