We rememeber worker actions, like strikes, protest
People protest against the government.
In Kazakhstan, May 1st is called Friendship Day.
In Kurdistan, May 1st is Labour Day.
Education is power!
Language is power!
In Canada, Labour Day (first Monday in September) is a
holiday. We also remember workers and think about workers’ rights.

Many schools is BC are being earthquake-proofed. Older schools are being
rebuilt to modern standards.
New building are built to withstand earthquakes.
Old buildings were not built to modern standards.
