Do the other compound sentence exercises. Try new transitional
terms. Don’t just use ‘SOBA’, ‘however’, and ‘therefore’.
Think about “Penny in the Dust”. Either tomorrow or Thursday,
we will write a paragraph to pass in.
We
normally have a quiz and a test each week.
Also,
I will ask you to pass-in homework sometimes.
We
will probably have a short quiz on compound sentences tomorrow. It is a secret
quiz, so don’t tell anybody.
Later
this week, we will write a paragraph about “Penny in the Dust”.

Directions: Add a clause to
each simple sentence to create a compound sentence. Use SOBA or a semicolon.
