Complex sentence - noun clauses
We use noun clauses with verbs that have to do with things that happen in our minds:
think, know, believe, understand, feel, make sure
say, tell
* that, how, why
Joanne thinks that S V.
Joanne thinks that her son is handsome. noun clause
He thinks that it is a nice day.
I don't know why she is so mad today.
She doesn't know how she will pay her bills this month.
Joan always makes sure that her daughter has a good lunch for school.
Steve said that he will be late today.
Michelle felt that Dave was not telling the truth.
My mother told me that she would come for a visit in August.
