12 verb tenses in English:

SIMPLE PRESENT- habitual action, everyday, usually, often

          “She drinks green tea.”

          “He lives in Burnaby.”

          “Victoria is the capital of BC.”
SIMPLE PAST- one event in the past, finished

          “You ate two eggs this morning.”

          “He watched some Youtube last night.”

SIMPLE FUTURE- one event in the future, to come later
