EF12 Class 20

 

Good morning, everyone.

This the beginning of our fifth week.

 

Today’s class plan:

·      Finish “Family Relationships” questions

·      Continue simple future tense

Read stories from homework

·      Test#3 Review paragraph – format and structure– Write a paragraph (final 50m)

·      HW   Read “Latin Music and Salsa” for homework

 

Tuesday

·      Practice- simple present, past and future tenses

Practice using “100 Verbs”

·      Adjective forms

 

Wednesday

·      Continue practice- simple present, past and future

 

Thursday (We will end at 11 o’clock. I have a teacher’s meeting.)

A spoiled child is a kid who gets everything they want. Their parents never say “No”.

16. An unmarried man is single or a bachelor.

An unmarried woman is single.

A bachelor apartment is an apartment with no bedroom. It is just one room. It is also called a studio apartment.

You can rent a one-bedroom apartment.

You can rent a two-bedroom apartment.

You can rent a one-bedroom and a den apartment.

den- small room, small office, too small to be a bedroom

Your apartment can have a full kitchen or a kitchenette.

Your place can a full bath or a half bath. Also, it can have a powder room.

A place with the living room and kitchen together is called an open-plan apartment. There are few interiors walls.

You can have a kitchen island. You sit around an island on stools.

 

If you drink too much or mix drinks, you wiil have a hangover.

hangover- headache, upset stomach, feel like you are going to die

 

Some students take large amounts of caffeine so that they can stay awake and study. They drink coffee, Red Bull, and other energy drinks.

OLD WAY  rent a movie- go to a store and rent a DVD or VHS tape

Now we just stream or download movies on the internet.
