MY ADVICE: Register as soon as you can so that you can get into the courses that you want. Some courses fill up very quickly.

The sooner the better.

Pronouns in adjective clauses

The woman who is standing by the tree is my sister.

who – subject pronoun, subject of the clause

 

The woman who you were talking with is my sister.

who – object pronoun

When you have an object pronoun, you have choice.

1. The woman who you were talking with is my sister.

2. The woman you were talking with is my sister. AUTHENTIC - omit

3. The woman whom you were talking with is my sister. FORMAL

 

English speakers omit the object pronoun rather than using ‘whom’.

cost- noun
