Both are OK. You can choose which way you want to do it.

This is not, SOBA. SOBA is for compound sentences.

‘and’ has several uses in English

Joe is tall and thin. SIMPLE

Joe is tall, and Maria is thin. COMPOUND

 

*three or more things in a series (in a row)  ,

She has lived in Canada, Japan, and China.

She has lived in Canada, Japan and China.

 

*two things  no ‘and’

She has lived in Canada and China.

 

COMMON ERROR

She has lived in Canada, China. XXX

She has lived in Canada and China.

For two things, you must use ‘and’ ‘or’
