Good morning, everyone.
We will get started at 9:15.
NOTE: Foundations/Academic sentence
writing tutorial
My Sentence Writing
Tutorial will begin next week, Tuesday, November 29th, from 5-6pm.
8-week practical guide to improving your
sentence writing.
This will be aimed at students from around
EF6 level up to Grade 12. The goal will be to get your sentence writing equal
to the expectations of teachers of higher level classes, including postsecondary.
This will not be a creative writing class;
this will be nuts and bolts highly-structured practical writing. I will
teaching in detail how sentence can be created in English.
You can use the models I will teach as a jumping
off point to developing your own writing styles.
The tutorial will be online on Zoom. I will
post the link on my blog in the next few days.
The tutorial will be held Tuesday nights 5-6pm
during Quarter 2 on Zoom. You can attend via Zoom.
Anyone can attend: SHEC student, any
students, anywhere in the world.
Last year, I had some high school kids from
Japan attending.
You do not have to sign up. I will not take
attendance. There will be no set homework although I will direct people toward
online resources.
You can attend one day, two days, or all the
days.
You can attend for one minute or the full hour.
The structure of the tutorial will be me
talking. Of course, I will stop talking and answer any questions at any time.
I will post my notes on the blog afterward. I
will not be recording the tutorial; please don’t record it.
