** Optional replacement test **

A few people have asked me about rewriting tests. Maybe they had a bad test or a missed test.

In my classes, I offer an optional replacement test for anyone who would like to do that. This is exactly the same deal as the replacemnt quiz.

Next Thursday, you will have an opportunity to replace one of the tests that you wrote. This is optional. You don’t have to do it if you don’t want.

As of today, we will have done four tests:

Test#1- Viola/Rosa                            x/12 doubled

Test#2 – RSoNSA                              x/12

Test#3- WWoC                                  x/12

Test#4- PitD                                       x/12

You have the marks for those.

NOTE: I will return Test#4 to you on Tuesday.

You may have one test that you were not satisfied with. You can replace one of those tests. You choose which one.

One is one. Not two, not three. 1=1

You will do the replacement test during regular class time, as usual. It will Thursday, April 21. We will do it the last hour of class.

The replacement test will be a new test, a new topic.

Your old mark will be replaced with the new mark. It will not be the higher of the two marks.

Think about if you would like to replace one of your test marks.

If you have pretty good marks, just leave them. Don’t bother with the replacement test.

Email me by next Wednesday at 1PM which test you would like to replace.

Send me an email.

Make sure you use a proper Subject line:

“Name, Class, Replacement Test.”

“Hi Al,

I want to replace Test#1.

Thanks,

Betty”

I will respond.

“Ok. Thanks.

Al”

I will not accept late emails. Next Wednesday at 1pm is the deadline to let me know if you want to replace a test.

All the fun things about Easter are pagan. Bunnies are a leftover from the pagan festival of Eostre, a great northern goddess whose symbol was a rabbit or hare.

Exchange of eggs is an ancient custom, celebrated by many cultures. Hot cross buns are very ancient too. In the Old Testament we see the Israelites baking sweet buns for an idol, and religious leaders trying to put a stop to it. The early church clergy also tried to put a stop to sacred cakes being baked at Easter. In the end, in the face of defiant cake-baking pagan women, they gave up and blessed the cake instead.
