·      Continue “Simple sentences EF1, EF2”

·      Word List 1.3

Write simple sentences using these words.

 

Thursday

·      Read aloud some sentences that you wrote in class yesterday.

·      Begin “Past Tense of Be

 

Friday

·      Continue simple past tense

·      Test#2 paragraph

 

 

The weather is cold.

The temperature was -1 this morning.

The weather is chilly/ frosty.

frost(noun) – the white thin ice on a car or the grass

I had to scrape my car windshield this morning.

The sidewalks were a little bit icy. They were slippery.

icy(adjective) – covered with ice

 

What clothes should you were when it is cold.

gloves

gloves – five fingers

mittens- fingers together

hat

toque- ‘tuke’

cap- baseball hat, with a brim

sweater- jumper(UK)  She is wearing a jumper. He is wearing a sweater.

jacket

scarf- She is wearing a scarf around her neck.

He is wearing a puffy vest/jacket.

You need good snow boots with grip. The boots should have grippy

soles.

You should get some good waterproof winter boots.

You also can get some thick socks.

Take out your WordList 1.3.

Take out your “100 Most Used Verbs”

Write some simple sentences using this vocabulary.

We will read them out loud later.

Please work together (small groups) if you like. It is more fun.

 

Your examples:

My hands are cold. Capital letter   period/fullstop

The scorpion’s sting hurts. A scorpion stung my son.

A bee stings my hand.

A bee stinger is small.

A snake bites with its teeth fangs.

 

Finish writing a few (4-5) sentences for homework. We will share them tomorrow. You will read out your sentences.
