Adjectives – descriptive words, describe nouns

10. I was bored/ boring at the movie.
bored – your emotion, your feeling

11. That movie was bored/ boring. That's why I left the movie early.
boring – describing the thing itself, our perception
12. The little boy was terrified/ terrifying by the scary movie. 
terrified – emotion, very scared
13. The movie was terrified/ terrifying because it had many horrible, evil monsters in it.

The poor woman feels depressed. She has depression.

My dog gets excited when someone knocks on the door. He wags his tail and runs to the door.
