University-level writing, from one of my nursing students
According to author, Public health is “the science and art of promoting health, preventing disease, prolonging life and improving quality of life through the organized efforts of society.” (Vollman, Anderson, 2017). Existence of health measurements under the umbrella of public health enables community nurses to identify at risk communities with prioritized health issues. Preventing health issues and promoting health are part of community nurse role of practice as well. As an example, nurses work with health concepts such as determinants of health which they utilize to promote the level of wellbeing in the community by. (Vollman, Anderson, 2017).  The impact these health concepts varies in different communities; therefore, a meticulous and modifiable outlook on health concepts are essential by CHN.
