EF45 Class 3

 

IDIOM  I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Meaning- very busy  You are very busy today.

IDIOM Her plate is full. She is very busy. She is busy all day. She has many things to do.

He has a lot of chores to do.

VOCAB chores- housework- vacuum, laundry, wash dishes, clean the bathroom, wipe the counter,

VOCAB for kitchen -sink, cabinets, cupboards, oven, toaster oven, microwave, air fryer, kettle, water heater, fridge, refrigerator, dishwasher,

small talk – daily talking, chat, chit-chat

-         not serious talking, casual

IDIOM QT- quality time- doing things together, talking together, playing, learning, cook together, go shopping together, vacation, hang out, read together

She likes spending QT with her daughter. She likes spending quality time with her daughter.

IDIOM hang out- friends

She hangs out with her friends at Trout Lake. They spend quality time together doing fun things.

Let’s get into some small groups and practice reading the dialogues.

In about 10 minutes, we will perform the dialogues for the class.

 

I will read the dialogues out loud. You can listen and repeat for pronunciation practice.
