***Course structure***

Split class- two classes put together

We are a small school, so we often have to split classes.

 

EF2 / EF3- These classes are not identical, but close.

 

I teach the same curriculum to all of you. I mark the EF3 students a little but harder than the EF2 students.

 

 

EF - English Foundations-  core courses

VOCAB foundation- base, support

A house has a foundation.

 

EF 1,2,3,4,5,6, EF7 or English10, Eng11, Eng12

There is not EF 8 or 9

 

EF7 – the next level is English 11

 

TWO PATHS: EF7  OR  Composition 10 & Literary Studies 10 (used to be called English 10)

 

You go to one of these courses:

 

1.  English Foundations 7

OR

2. Composition 10 and Literary Studies 10 (used to be called English 10)

 

EF7 and Composition 10 & Literary Studies 10 is the same class at South Hill.

 

You do not choose.

 

If you graduated from high school anywhere in the world, you go to EF7.

If you did not graduate from high school anywhere in the world, you go to English 10.

VOCAB promotion(n) – discounted price for a set amount of time

The promotion gives 20% off for six months.
