** Optional replacement test or quiz **

A few people have asked me about rewriting tests. Maybe they had a bad test or a missed test.

In my classes, I offer an optional replacement test for anyone who would like to do that.

On Thursday, November 2nd, you will have an opportunity to replace one of the tests that you wrote. This is optional. You don’t have to do it if you don’t want.

As of today, we have done four tests:

Test#1         x/6    x/12 doubled e.g.         4/6=8/12

Test#2         x/6    x/12                                 2/6

Test#3                   x/12                                 4.5/6

Test#4                   x/12                                 4.5/6

*I double the test marks because tests are worth twice as much as quizzes.

You have the marks for those.

You may have one test that you were not satisfied with. Perhaps you missed a test and did not make it up. You can replace one of those tests. You choose which one.

One is one. Not two, not three. 1=1

You will do the replacement test during regular class time, as usual. We will do it the last hour of class.

The replacement test will be a new test, a new topic. The replacement test will be a paragraph, as usual.

Your old mark will be replaced with the new mark. It will not be the higher of the two marks.

Test#2                             3/6 DELETE

Replacement test         4/6

Think about if you would like to replace one of your test marks.

If you have pretty good marks, just leave them. Don’t bother with the replacement test.

Email me by Thursday at 7PM which test you would like to replace, if you would like to replace one.

Send me an email.

Make sure you use a proper Subject line:

“Name, Class, Replacement Test or Quiz.”

“Hi Allan,

I want to replace Test#1.

Thanks,

Betty”

I will respond.

“Ok. Thanks.

Al”

Replacement quiz will be on simple, compound, and complex sentences.

2. , but       school
