Review of our three verb tenses

 

SIMPLE PRESENT

- everyday, usually, habit, daily activity

I go to the beach every Saturday.

Kobok eats breakfast every morning at 7am.

Mei talks to her sister on Skype on computer every few days.

-         truth, fact

Vancouver is a rainy city.

Victoria is the capital of BC.

Doris is 165cm tall.

Shira lives on Nanaimo Street.

 

subject verb agreement – S + V    have to match

Joe is a taxi driver.

You are a taxi driver.

talk

I talk to my parents every week.

Sarah talks to her parents every week.
