* When write a paragraph, it can only be about one thing. A paragraph is about one idea, as expressed in the topic sentence.
Topic sentence
Supporting sentences - must be unified, all talking about the same thing, all relating to the topic sentence
Making a paragraph unified can be really hard because we have to cut sentences that might be interesting; however, if they aren't on-topic, they have to go. Proofreading and editing is painful and difficult.
