Choose one of the topics:

There will be two parts to this presentation:

a couple of paragraphs (2, 3 paragraphs)

writing will be in standard paragraph format, like we have practiced in this
class.

SPOKEN
( about five minutes)
On your presentation day, you will
tell the class about this place or person and your relationship to it or them. You
will come up to the front of the class. You can take a few written notes in
case you forget something. However, no reading. Also, please, do not recite a
memorized speech.
You can practice at home. Time
yourself.

some class time to work on this.
*You could get ChatGPT or a translating app to write this for you in one
second. Hopefully, you will take this as an opportunity to do some organization,
planning, and writing on your own.
Of course, the VSB and SHEC policies regarding plagiarism and academic
honesty apply.
If I see that your work is plagiarized, machine-translated, or
AI-generated, it will get a 0 and a letter in your file. I know what your writing looks like.
This will be a nice challenge, writing and speaking to the class.
Some people like to show some pictures. Some people are good at
PowerPoint or presentation software.
Feel free to show pictures.
IDIOM A picture tells a thousand words.
You can use your laptop, tablet or phone with the LCD projector.
We can check the tech any day before you present.
The LCD projector is a bit old. If the projector doesn’t work with your
phone, maybe you can email your pictures to a classmate whose phone works with
the projector.

Yes, absolutely. You can show pictures,
videos, play music, etc. You can use your own computer or phone.
You can use the LCD projector to
project them on the screen.
You can test the tech any day to make sure it works.
I have a C port, VGA, and an HDMI connector.
I do not have Lightning connectors.
If there are any techies in the class, maybe you would willing to help
your less tech-savvy classmates.

Pass in your writing first thing on the day you present.
