EF34 Class 24

 

We have only four weeks left! Time flies.

 

Pro D- Professional development- any professional organization has training days for employees

October 25th- no school for you. I will go to a literacy conference.

literacy- basic level writing, speaking, reading, EF1 2

 

The leaves are turning. red, gold, yellow, purple

 

deciduous trees- turn colour, lose their leaves

evergreen trees- stay green all year

 

I caught up on some sleep.

I went for a one-hour-and-twenty-minute run.

I went on a 10k run. It took almost one hour and twenty minutes.

I run four or fives times a week in the morning.

 

I volunteered for my friend’s election.

Election day is October 19th. Early voting starts October 10th.

Modals/ Modal Auxiliaries

Modals are auxiliary verbs. They are used with other verbs to show ability, necessity, possibility, invitation, permission, or request.

 

These are the most useful modals and their most common meanings:
