This is the start of our fifth week. We are about halfway through the course.

We have five weeks left in the course. Plan directions that we want to go in.

PLOs “Prescribed Learning Outcomes”- the guidlines of what we do in class

Prescribed(adj,v)- doctor gives a prescription, solution, directions, guide

-         the things that we have to be able to do in order to move up

Learning-(v) – knowing something, improving, knowledge, achieving, getting imformation, understanding, gaining skills

Outcomes(n)- output, what you produce, result, goal, quality of the work e.g. pronunciation, in the end, final result

Dialogue “Expressing an Opinion”

 

Groups of two- read out Dialogue 1,2, or 3.

Come to the front of the class and perform them.

Try to make it sound natural.

You might feel nervous.

-hands shaking

-palms sweating

-butterflies in your stomach

-dry mouth, cotton mouth

-hyperventilate

-pass out

-crying

-say the wrong thing

-grinning, smiling

-have to pee

-stress eating

-chew your nails

-play with your hair

-fidget- nervous moving

Things to remember

-         speak a little more loudly than usual, voice bigger

-         speak a little more slowly than usual

-         make some eye contact

-         Be brave!

mortgage- money borrowed for a house or apartment

The bank loaned/lent me $1000. I borrowed $1000.

Can I borrow your pen? You loaned me a pen.

Test#2 tomorrow

Write a paragraph. At least 80 words for EF3. At least 100 words for EF4.

Focus on good sentences- simple, compound. Complex if you can- because, if, when.
