FUTURE PROGRESSIVE Not an everyday verb tense. Use simple future instead.

PRESENT PERFECT PROGRESSIVE

PAST PERFECT PROGRESSIVE Use past progressive or simple past instead.

take several short sentences, combine them into one longer, dense sentence

 

easy e.g. Today is cloudy. Today is warm.

COMPOUND Today is cloudy, but it is warm. SV, SOBA SV.

COMPLEX Today is cloudy even though it is warm. ADV CL

Logic? Today is warm because it is cloudy.

SIMPLE seems like the best choice.

 

Every sentence that you write requires you making a decision about the what kind of sentence you want: SIMPLE COMPOUND COMPLEX

If you don’t know what kind of setnence you are writimg, you are more likely to make mistakes.
