Advice on what to think about when reading a story for school.
3. Quiz#7- Sentence combining
narrator – voice that is telling the story, narrate (v), narrative (adj)
third person omniscient – all or most of the characters’ thoughts and feeling are revealed
third person limited – only one or a few of the characters’ thoughts and feeling are revealed (very common in literature)
Choosing and recognizing a narrative point of view is very important.
Some stories and novels have multiple first-person narrators – they switch back and forth
e.g. The Strange Case of the Dog at Midnight, Spoon River Chronicles, The Sound and the Fury
-two people having an argument about some mishap – two first-person narratives

I really encourage people to get into reading book. Pick a topic that is interesting to you. Find books on that topic.
e.g. My son does not like reading. However, he does enjoy reading about historic battles.
Reading is a very enjoyable and rewarding use of your time and energy.
