Do you have some ideas what you want to do after high school?

If you have ambitions to to go to college or university, you can start planning now. You can start to get organize your prereqs.

You can start to research what prereqs your postsec requires.

Education Planner BC

Use it for your own plans or for your children, friends, relatives.

In my experience, jobs come through networking.

-quicker post-sec route

-trades- skilled trades- electrician, plumber, drywaller, HVAC (furnace repair, air mechanic), mechanic, carpenter

Good money!

certificate- 8m-1yr

diploma – 1 yr

degree- 3-4 yrs

In Canada, there is a big push to get young people into skilled trades. In Canada, there is a huge push to get young women into skilled trades.

MY ADVICE:

Start thinking about it. Start planning.

You can do it. There is a lot of opportunity.

It will be difficult and expensive, but you can do it.

A lot of adults go to post-sec either part-time or full-time. It might not be as common in your home country.

Survival jobs- just to make $$, not the dream

The dream is achievable.

Our SHEC academic advisors are very knowledgeable and helpful.
