This is the last kind of sentence that we will be learning.

·      Work on presentations

“My Culture”- presentation-

Prepare a short presentation about some aspect of your culture.

It could be about a holiday or celebration, a tradition, art, music, food, whatever you like.

You will come to front of the class and tell us about it.

 

Work to finish in the next week and a half:

·      NEW ITEM “Articles” Practice present progressive/continuous verb tense

2.    I was shopped yesterday, and I bought my first time eating fruit pomegranates. Its taste was amazing. PHRASING- TRANSLATION

I was shopping yesterday, and I ate a pomegranate for the first time. Its taste was amazing.

 

3.    I cooked last night, and my stir-fry was noodles.

REWRITE

I cooked last night, and I made stir-fry with noodles.

 

4. Tofu is my favourite food, and I eat it every week, but its cooking way that I can do was just frying and stewing.

 

You shouls just use simple and compound sentences.

4.    My neighbours are a lot of students from China. They all cooked by themselves, even though their skills are very different.

“Interviewing for a Job”

“Dialogue Reading”

dialogue- conversation between two people

Interviewer(noun)- a person who interviews someone for a job

Applicant(noun)- a person who wants to get a job apply(verb)

application form

resume- list of your education and work experience

 

Get into groups of two or three. Practice reading the dialogue out loud to each other. Use the alternatives to change the written dialogue.

Practice that.

Later, we will read them out loud.
