EF 1 2 Class 37

 

Good morning, everyone.

 

Today’s class plan

·      Finish “Culture Shock”

·      “My Culture”- presentation-

Prepare a short presentstion about some aspect of your culture.

It could be about a holiday or celebration, a tradition, art, music, food, whatever you like.

You will come to front of the class next and tell us about it.

 

·      “Possessive Pronouns”

·      Homework          Finish your sentences with possessive pronouns.

Start writing your presentation about your culture that you are going to do next Tuesday or Wednesday.

 

Work to finish in the next week and a half:

·      NEW ITEM “Articles” Practice present progressive/continuous verb tense

·      Begin complex sentences- adverb clauses

This is the last kind of sentence that we will be learning.

“Culture Shock”

Vocabulary Review- Change the form of the word

happy(adjective) happiness(noun) happily(adverb)

1.    comfortable(adjective) comfortably(adverb)

She is sitting comfortably.

is sitting- verb comfortably-adverb, describes the verb

*Usually an adverb ends in ‘ly’: quickly, slowly, happily, sadly, etc

well She speaks English goodly well.

She feels homesick. She has homesickness.
