She helped her sister to do the dishes.
He helps his friend to solve the math problem.

motivate - motive (reason) give someone a reason to do something

get - make someone do something

get - ask/tell/make - when you want somebody to do something

Could I get you to put the laundry in the drier?

Sarah convinced her husband to buy half decent clothes.
I will hire him to cut down the trees.
