EF2/3 Adjective clauses- first step

which

This is the boy who has red hair.
This is the boy who I met at the park yesterday.

This is a silver phone which is mine.

She is my daughter who is 15.

My daughter is the person who painted this picture.

That is a patient who is recovering in hospital.

The patient who is recovering in hospital is my brother.

The girl who was at the theatre. XXX
The girl was at the theatre.
The girl who was at the theatre is lovely.

If you use an adjective clause, you must say two things about the subject.

That is Tim Horton's which is where I'm going to get a coffee.

This is the bike which I bought yesterday.
The bike which I bought yesterday was second-hand.
This is the motorcycle which was in the shop window.

That is my manager who is very serious.

My manager who is very serious about his job is hardworking.

Our school which is close to my house is good for adults.

That is my teacher who teaches me English.

Terry Fox who tried to run across Canada is a Canadian hero.

She is a teacher who I like her.

Vancouver which has a lot of parks is very beautiful.


Vancouver has a lot of parks which are very big.

The dog that has white paws is really cute.
The dog has paws that are white and black.

Adjective clause always comes after the noun.

I gave a table to my sister that has three legs. XXX
I gave a table that has three legs to my sister.
