          My grandmother had a very elegant face even when she was 80 years old.  Firstly, she had short curly hair that she kept very neat.  She kept her hair nicely dyed in an old-fashioned perm.  Also, her pale blue eyes were small but bright.  They twinkled like stars when she laughed.  Next, her skin was smooth and pale although she did have laugh lines around her eyes and the corners of her mouth.  Finally, she always had a sweet smile for everybody, so she looked friendly and kindly.  In the end, her beautiful face was just one of the reasons why I loved my grandmother.
