“Forms of Simple Sentences”

 

SV                subject + verb

SSV              subject subject + verb

SVV             subject + verb verb

 

Examples:

SV                John buys bought a new car. everyday simple past

                     John bought a new car.

                     I like swimming.

SSV              John and Lydia saw a movie.

                     The dog and the cat like each other.

SVV             The dogs barks and runs.

                     Maria sang a song and danced.

 

Styles of simple sentences: SV   SSV   SVV

 

 

 

Exercise 2

Take out your “100 Most Used Verbs”, “100 Most Used Nouns”, and “100 Most Used Adjectives”

 

Write simple sentences in the three styles using this vocabulary.

We will read them out loud later.
