Verb tenses

simple past- one event in the past, finished

 

simple future- one event in the future

-         five minutes in the future, ten years in the future

-         “will”

If you get them confused, everybody will still know what you mean.

will / am going to – What I taught today is not in any grammar book. This is just how I think about ‘will’ and ‘am going to’.

If you check a grammar, you may get more complicated explanations. This is my simple explanation.

 

IDIOM We’ll see.  - I don’t know. I haven’t made a decision.
