Paragraphs

Topic sentence   – gives the topic, shows your intent, opinion

                             - comes from questions

e.g. What is your favourite city?

Topic sentence: My favourite city is Burnaby for several reasons.

Supporting sentences  - 3,4,5 sentences that give reasons to support the topics sentence

e.g. First, there are a lot of community centres in the city. You can exercise, take classes, and meet new friends.

Concluding sentence   - restates the topic sentence

e.g. My favourite city is Burnaby for several reasons. RESTATE

For these reasons I like to live in Burnaby more than any other city.

 What is your favourite city?

My favourite city is Burnaby for several reasons. First, there are a lot of community centres in the city. You can exercise, take classes, and meet new friends. Second, Burnaby has lots of nice parks for outdoor activities. For example, in Deer Lake Park you can bike, run, or have a picnic with your family. Finally, Burnaby is close to other cities, such as Vancouver, Surrey, and Richmond. It is easy to get to these other cities.

For these reasons I like to live in Burnaby more than any other city.

took a nap, couch ½ hour, dream about English

evening

made supper- bbq chicken, green salad, dessert apple pie, dark chocolate ice cream

little rose wine, just one glass
