EF2/3 Causative verbs

1. read
He forced her to read a book every week.
I told her to read the email from her mother.
He let his mother read his secret, private diary.
He asked his friends to read his blog.

2. smoke
You convinced yourself to stop smoking.
I allow my son to smoke in the house, but only cigars.

I don't allow anyone to smoke in my car.
You won't let me smoke in your car.

3. She helped her husband cut his hair.

4. She let me use her car.
She let me use her new car last Tuesday night to go to school.
She lets me use her new car every Tuesday night.
She will let ...
Will you let me use your car tomorrow?

5. take
Did you tell my son to take his homework home?
Let me take a break.
Will you let me take another cookie?
I permit/ allow my daughter to take my phone.

I let my kids take the bus to school.
I let my daughter go to Starbucks with her friend.

6. buy
He helped his brother buy a business.
His family helped him to buy a house. The money came with strings attached.

7. drive
She got her friend to drive her to the airport.
I permit/ allow my young son to drive my car. 
The law doesn't permit people to drive over 50 km/h in the city.

8. I invited my friends to enjoy my cooking last weekend.
I encourage my teenage students to enjoy their school years.
