EF234 Simple sentence exercises

simple sentence- subject + verb

Her name is Amy.

She lives in Paris.

Put a capital letter at the beginner.
End the sentence with a period of a question mark.


Subject and Predicate
subject- the main noun in a sentence- person, place, thing, idea

person- Amy is my sister.
place- Burnaby is next to Vancouver.
thing- His glasses are broken.
idea- Education is very important.

3. Queen Elizabeth Park is a beautiful city park.
Golden Ears Park is a beautiful provincial park.
Banff is a beautiful national park.
Lake Louise is in a national park.
Our friends took to the ferry to Nanaimo.
SFU was named after Simon Fraser.
The Fraser River was named after Simon Fraser.
Fraser Street was named after Simon Fraser.
He was an early explorer in BC.

Apple trees grow in BC.
Blueberries grow in BC.
Peaches and grapes grow in BC.
Grapes grow on vines.
There are many vineyards and wineries in the Okanagan.

Cheesecake, etc makes the best cheesecake in town.
Starbucks' coffee is overroasted and greasy.
