English 11 Paragraph format

Paragraph format - layout, organization on the page

1. Lined 81/2* 11 inch (26.6*20.3 cm) paper with margins, A4 size with lines
2. Orient the paper rightside-up.
Orientation - pointing in the right directions
The title space is on top. The three holes go to the left.
3. In the top right hand corner, please write your name, the class (Comp 11 or Lit 11).
4. Please write in pen, blue or black is standard.
5. Please double-space. Write on line and then skip a line.
6. Indent the first word in your paragraph. An indentation is a little space about the width of your thumb.
7. Respect the margins. The margins are the red lines that run vertically on the lined paper.
8. Feel free to write on both sides of the paper- double-sided.
9. If you writing a long word and you run out of room, don't bother with the -hyphen thing.

10. If you make a mistake, don't worry about making it beautiful. Just cross it out and keep going. Use the Whiteout tape if you want.
