of the class.
Extra points: Rewrite all quizzes, tests, essays for an extra point.
Quiz x/3 + extra point
Test x/7 + extra point
Essay x/10 + extra point
The extra points add up, but they are optional.
Expectations
and Classroom Policies:
Write
all tests, homework and assignments in black or blue pen, double-spaced on
lined paper. You may not use dictionaries
during work for marks.
Using languages other than English will interfere
with your learning experience and will lower your marks.
Attendance
and Participation:
Consistent attendance
and positive participation in class are important factors in student
success. At South Hill Education Centre,
we require that all students demonstrate their commitment to their studies by
attending regularly and by participating in class activities
Late/Missed
Assignments:
You can arrange with me to make up the occasional
missed test or quiz within a few days of you missing the test or quiz.
Academic
Honesty:
Academic honesty is
expected of all students. Cheating (including plagiarism) is a serious offence
with immediate consequences. For more information, please refer to the
“Academic Honesty Policy” posted in each classroom or ask for a copy in the
office.
Most Important:
Have fun and good luck!
Have fun - good attitude, open mind, not afraid, feel positive, feel good about their work and their English
