My Beautiful Grandmother
My grandmother had a very beautiful face even when she was elderly. First of all, she always kept her curly hair neat and tidy. She dyed it light blue which was her favourite colour. Secondly, she had kind blue eyes like robins eggs which frequently smiled warmly at us. Third, her cheeks which were smooth and pale were carefully made up with rouge. Finally, she wore pink lipstick on her mouth which was always smiling. Clearly, my grandmother kept her good appearance into her old age.

My grandmother didn’t look like a beautiful woman, but I loved the way she looked. I remember helping her comb her coarse grey hair. Sometimes I would braid it for her, which made her happy. Her eyes were small and black, but they always looked kind to me. Her cheeks were tough like leather, but sometimes I would help her put on make up. Finally, her smile was crooked and toothless, but she smiled at me a lot. You can see that I thought my grandmother was beautiful even though she didn’t look beautiful to others.
