EF5/6 Types of paragraphs

Types of paragraphs:

Narrative- narrator, tells a story, personal
"Write about your first day in Vancouver."
gets people writing, easy to get content/information

TIME order- chronological, Chronos Greek god of time
Use time words- first, firstly, second, following that, then, next, after that, one hour later, finally, in the end

Descriptive- describe details of how something looks, feels, tastes...
5 senses- our connection to the world
1. touch
2. sight
3. smell
4. taste
5. hearing

6th sense- tell the future, Extra Sensory Perception, feeling, instinct, mindreading, psychic

Which sense is most important to you?
Which sense do we have most vocabulary for?

touch- soft, hard, smooth, rough, cold, warm
similes "like a peach"

smell- stinky, gross, sweet, fragrant, flowery, fruity

taste- sweet, sour, bitter, salty, umami

hearing- loud, volume, annoying, screechy

sight- colour, shape, size, shadow
rainbow colours in order- red orange yellow green blue indigo violet
