SIMPLE VERB TENSES
-simple present – usually, always, daily, habit, truth
He cleans his kitchen every Saturday morning.
She drinks green tea.
He likes dogs.
She lives in Kuwait.
He likes dogs. – area of focus- the subject and verb
must agree, match
She lives in Canada.
-simple past- one time in the past- five minutes ago, last
night, five years ago, 10000 years ago
He cleaned his kitchen last Saturday morning.
She lived in a small apartment in 1998.
She woke up at 7 o’clock in the morning yesterday.
Yesterday, I worked as a cashier for the second time.
Dinosaurs lived 65 million years ago.
**NOTE: Putting the time at the beginning or the end of the
sentence helps to make the sentence clearer.
