“Why did Maylin argue with the governor?”

TIP: Focus on that question. Everything you write has to be about ‘why’ ‘argue’ governor’

-only 125-150 words- no room for extra stuff, plot, personal, narrative,

- academic tone-  no first person “I”

- AVOID PLOT SUMMARY

I think I am going to ... AUTHENTIC SOUNDING

I think I am going to go to Jen’s party in Surrey tonight.

16. stepped – simple past

 

Astronaut- English word

Cosmonaut – Russian astronaut

person/aeronatics/space – Chinese translation to English

person/flying/outside Earth – Japanese translation to Earth

space man- Farsi

17.had been waiting – past perfect progressive – NOT COMMONLY USED

18.isn’t going to exist/ won’t exist

19.has never won- past perfect   SUBSTITUTE simple past ‘didn’t win’

20.will have been studying – future perfect progressive – VERY RARE
