WRITING QUIZZES AND TESTS

You can write your quizzes, tests on paper or in a word processor on computer (e.g laptop). If you use a word processor, you must turn spellcheck and grammar check off.

You will have 20 minutes for a quiz (6 sentences) and about 55 minutes for a test (100-125 word paragraph).

I don’t take late work, so you must pass-in or email your work to me by the deadline, which will be during class time. My email is ahaley@vsb.bc.ca

All quizzes and tests will be written in class, during class time.

I do not do take-home tests, etc. If you need take-home tests, you can take a self-paced class.

If you need  alot of flexibility with your quizzes, tests, and essay, you can take a self-paced class.

EMAIL PROTOCOL

When you send me an email, please put your name and class in the subject line of the email.

Send me an email for practice if you want.

PAPER FORMAT

Please use lined 8 1/2 X 11 inch paper.

Write between the margins.

Put your name, class and date in the top righthand corner above the line.

Title line -Name of test, quiz

Write in black or blue pen. NOTE: Black ink gets higher marks on Provincial Exams

Please double space.

Please orient your paper rightside up.

It’s easy to forget these details when you are focussed on writing.

·      This is a busy class and we will get through a lot of material. Try not to miss class time. You can always check the blog, but it’s not the same as being in class. If you miss a quiz or test, you can use the replacement quiz or test to make it up. If you know you are going to miss a quiz or test, let me know a couple of days before, and we can arrange another time for you to take the quiz or test.

EMAIL PROTOCOL:

·      In the Subject line of your email, you must put your name, class, time.

For example: Joe Chen, EF4, 11:00

If you do not put this information in the Subject line of your email, I will not know who you are or what class you are in.
