EF34 10 class - "Going Shopping" dialogues

Good morning, everyone.

We will get started at 11:00.

Baby shower- a woman is going to have a baby

                     - a bunch of friends get together and have  nice party for her

                     - give gifts, eat food, play games

                     - lots of laughs

 

driving practice- changing lanes- shoulder check

 

volunteer at swimming competition– SFU – striving for personal best- compare your performance to your last performance

 

volleyball provincials – My son’s team lost 7 or 8 games. They learned a lot.

After break, we will break up into groups of two.

Using the sheets, compose a short dialogue between the clerk and the customer.

Later on, we will read them out. The focus will be not just on the sentence. The focus will mainly be on the pronunciation, stress, and natural-sounding rhythm.

Let’s break up into groups of two.

 

Let’s recite some of these dialogues.

1.    Speak up a little louder than usual.

2.    Speak a little bit more slowly than you normally would.

3.    Put a bit energy into it. stress, waves on the ocean
