2. Generate some ideas


   The man treated Yulia poorly because he wanted to get her to stand up for herself in the future he wanted to goad her into reacting and standing up for herself. First of all, he tries to provoke her by lying about how long she had been working.  However, this does not make her defend herself. Next, he starts to take away her salary until there is almost nothing left. Still, she doesn't speak up. Finally, he accuses her of being dishonest. Finally, she speaks up for herself, although weakly. In the end, he is disgusted by her weakness and gives the money back like a gift, not a salary.
