transitional terms- extremely useful, high-level English

 

In EF45, I give about 15 transitional terms. In EF6 I give about 60 of them.

 

These are very very useful and high-frequency.

EXAMPLES OF COMPOUND SENTENCES:

Mei wants to visit Japan, so she is saving money.

Mei wants to visit Japan; she is saving money.

Mei wants to visit Japan; therefore, she is saving money.

There are three types of sentences: SIMPLE   COMPOUND   COMPLEX

HIGHER LEVEL- transitional terms between simple sentences

CHOICES:

Mei is hangry. She needs to eat something.

SLANG hangry(adj) angry and hungry

Verbs that you do know

-provide(v)- give, offer, responsibility

He got a job offer. The job provides two-weeks vacation and a company car.

SHEC provides/offers secondary courses to adults.

68. lead- go in front, people follow you
